Uncontested Divorce

You can get an uncontested (“no-fault”) divorce in Virginia if:

  • your spouse is not represented by an attorney and you would like to retain an attorney to prepare an agreement and the divorce papers, or
  • you already have an agreement that resolves your separation, property, parenting, and support issues, or
  • you have no issues to be resolved, and you have been separated for the requisite amount of time.

As your attorney, I will file your existing agreement with the court, or prepare an agreement for you and, if your spouse signs it, file it, and seek an order that incorporates it as part of the divorce decree.
